Zach Chappell is a talented two-way player entering his first season with the Lightning.

Chappell currently has two seasons of Division I baseball under his belt and so far he’s made the most of both of them. In his two-year stretch as a member of the North Florida Ospreys, Zach has tossed 33.2 innings over 19 pitching appearances, striking out 22 batters while posting a 1-1 record with a 3.74 ERA.

Additionally, he has made a plate appearance in 5 collegiate games, collecting his first hit on March 10^th in a game against Ohio State.

Zach is the son of Carmen Chappell and former Pittsburgh Pirates 1973 draft pick Dave Chappell, and has three siblings: Logan, Channing and Regan. He currently majors in business management at North Florida.
