Nathan Henderson is a right-handed pitcher from St. Augustine, Florida playing in his first season with the Lightning.

After redshirting in 2016, Henderson made his first appearance in college ball for South Georgia State College and had an impressive debut campaign. In 38.2 innings across 13 appearances, he went 5-1 with a 3.96 ERA while collecting 44 strikeouts with 8 coming in a single game against Thomas University JV.

Nathan then followed that up with a solid showing the next season, striking out 24 opponents in 23.2 innings, and setting a new personal single-game punch-out best with 9 against Lake Michigan.

For his Junior season, Henderson transferred to Flagler University, where he stood out in the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season. In his 19 innings of work, he retired 24 on strikes and shut opponents down with a 1.89 ERA and a .164 batting-average against. Additionally, he once again set a personal best for strikeouts in a game, notching 10 against Georgia Southwestern.

Nathan will be a dynamic arm for the Lightning this season.
