In a stadium where beer has never been served, Lightning fans have created their own "Miller Time" every time Mike steps up to the plate. Mike has become a fan favorite at Pat Thomas Stadium and his consistancy behind the plate and at bat has been vital to the Lightnings' success every day. In 2011 Mike posted a .279 batting average with a .361 on base percentage, .394 slugging percentage while contributing 7 extra base hits and 15 RBI's. In 2012 Mike posted a .278 batting average with a .377 on base percentage, .391 slugging percentage including 7 extra base hits (4 home runs) and 23 RBI's. While Mike handles his duties behind the plate exceptionally well, he also contributes on the mound. Mike had 5 appearances (3 starts), fanning 8 in 8.2 innings, posted a 3.12 era, 1.28 WHIP and opponents had a measly .161 batting average against him.

For Dallas Baptist in 2012, Mike scored 10 runs and had 25 hits, for a .236 batting average. Miller had 11 base-on-balls and a .322 on-base percentage during spring. He hit .236 for the season and had 11 runs batted in. Miller was a stalwart behind the plate, allowing only one passed ball and going the whole season without committing an error, and yes he also made an appearance on the mound as well for the Patriots.

No doubt, it will be "Miller Time" again at Pat Thomas Stadium in 2013.
