Jackson Spiller, a fantastic righty from Palm Coast, FL, joins the Leesburg Lightning for his first season in the FCSL.

Spiller spent the past season with Florida Atlantic University, appearing in 13 games and starting in four. He was effective in both roles, but pitched 17 of his 30 innings out of the 'pen. As a bullpen arm, he was effective as an innings eater, going two or more innings four times for the Owls. He was fantastic with his command, at one point going 16.1 consecutive innings without allowing a walk.

He spent the two seasons prior at St. Johns River State, going 5-4 over two seasons. His freshman season saw him earn a spot on the All-Conference's Second team, with a 1.97 ERA out of the bullpen. In the shortened 2020 seasons, he struck out 36 batters over 37.2 innings. He was also fantastic at New Smyrna Beach High School, posting a career 1.33 ERA. He was a top 75 right handed pitcher in Florida according to Perfect Game.
