Heath Olive is a right-handed pitcher from Sheffield, Alabama playing in his first season with the Lightning.

Olive began his college baseball career fairly close to home at Wallace State Community College, where he played for two seasons. During that time, he made 25 appearances, striking out 57 in 40.2 innings.

He then transferred to Faulkner University for the 2019 season and has now been there for two years. Heath has excelled on the Division I stage, posting a 6-3 record with 6 saves, a 3.05 ERA and an outstanding 13.3 strikeouts per nine innings rate.

With his penchant for missing bats, Olive is a key arm on the Lightning roster this year.
