Codie Lunday is a southpaw who brings three years of collegiate pitching experience into his second season with the Lightning.

In his first go around with the team back in 2018, Lunday put together an array of solid performances as a starter and out of the bullpen. In 7 appearances (5 starts) he posted a 1-1 record while striking out 16 batters in 25 innings and compiling a respectable 4.32 ERA.

During his two seasons at the College of Central Florida, Codie appeared in 21 games, making 8 starts. He was one of the veterans on the Patriots’ 2019 Mid-Florida Conference Champion team, and pitched the second most innings (41.2) out of anyone on the squad.

After graduating from the two-year institution, Lunday took his talents to Flagler College, where he made 3 appearances in the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season and majors in sports management

Codie is the son of Kenneth and Kimberly Lunday.
