Huter joins the Leesburg Lighting for the 2021 summer season after completing his Freshman season at South Florida State College. Huter appeared in 17 games for the Panthers, making a start in a dozen of those. He finished the season with a 4.76 ERA, fanning 67 batters over 68 innings in the process. He came out of the bullpen for five games, allowing just five earned runs in 15.1 innings. His best performance came against Warner University on March 31st, when he struck out 11 batters and allowed just four hits over seven scoreless innings.

Huter is college teammates with fellow Lightning members Myles Caba and Bryce Bitting.
