Austin Davis is a slick-fielding, hard-hitting outfielder from Hollywood, Florida playing in his first season with the Lightning.
Davis began his collegiate baseball career at the Community College of Rhode Island where he tore it up at the plate and in the field. After a freshman season where he hit .407 with a .602 OBP and earned all-conference honors, he followed things up with an explosive redshirt sophomore campaign.
In that 2018 season, he hit a whopping .456 with an even more impressive .621 OBP, not to mention his three home runs and 40 RBI. For his efforts, he was named NJCAA Division II All-Region 21 Player of the Year and earned a Rawlings Gold Glove Award.
Austin then moved on to Flagler College to continue his baseball career. In his Junior season, he collected 22 hits in 35 games (29 starts) while knocking in 13 runs. Stewart appeared in three games before the 2020 season was cut short by COVID-19.
He is the son of Keith and Anastasia Davis and has two sisters.
